Colour Wise Cubes

Colour Wise Cubes are inclusive, educational blocks designed for children with colourblindness. Inspired by the aesthetic of Raduga Grez and the visual language of Josef Albers' Homage to the Square, the blocks interlock in layered, nested formations that emphasize contrast through shape, depth, and tactile pattern, rather than relying solely on hue.

Crafted from laser-cut basswood, each piece is lightweight, durable, and safe for small hands. While currently laser-cut, the design is intended for future CNC production to improve precision and scalability. Colour Wise Cubes encourage spatial play, accessibility, and sensory exploration, helping all children engage equally through form-first design.
